Welcome! Bienvenue! Biindigen!

École Elsie MacGill Public School is Lakehead District School Board’s newest elementary school. With enrolment of approximately 740 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, we offer high-quality, engaging programming in both English and French Immersion. Students learn and grow together in a modern, fully accessible building that includes a bright and airy library, dedicated music room, large gymnasium, and lots of outdoor learning space.

We offer an instrumental music program for students in Grades 7 and 8, along with many opportunities for students to explore a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular interests. We are proud to be named after Elsie MacGill, the world’s first female aeronautical engineer! Go Hurricanes!
